Discover Something New

Sat Aug 15, 2009, 8:07 PM
FINALLY!

It's Mid-August, but I finally fulfilled one of my goals for summer, to start a serial novel.

The serial novel is called "Deva-Asura."

Deva-Asura is an urban fantasy which unearths the mysteries which lie hidden right under our noses and explores the ramifications of disregarding the long established separation and concealment of the unknown.

Discover monsters, magic, and the enigmatic organization connected to them, "The Asper Society," in "Deva-Asura."

New Chapters will be added at least once a month, and I intend to release the first chapter before the end of August; so, stay tuned.

And as always, critique is welcome and encouraged.

Online again?!

To start off, I need to apologize. apparently there was some sort of spam bot going around in my name or something, and seeing as I haven't been on in a while, it's had it a long time to run rampant. I've changed my password, so hopefully now all that is behind me.

At any rate, I'm back!

Might as well give you the full run-down.

1.) I'm in college- yay!
2.) I'm in college- no, not more homework!
3.) I'm voice acting. Check me out on youube sometime (crossblades08)
4.) I've begun several new writing ventures and am in the process of narrowing them down to one project to focus on.
5.) I'm going to actually start posting stuff. Why now? Well, I think you can thank voice acting for that. I need to write plays and stories to read and act; so, why not post them for people to enjoy audibly and in its original text form.
6.) I still suck at drawing.
7.) I still am an editor and would like to help you with your writing endeavors.
8.) I'm now open to collaborative writing and witting commissions (go figure).
9.) I've shifted my focus almost entirely on longer works of fiction.

On to recent times:

I've been on a creative high for the past month, and now all of you are going to reap the benefits.

I'm currently working on a story right now with the working title, "Second Star to the Right" (abbreviated SSTR). Cheesy name? WRONG!- actually, the title itself is a clue to one of the key mysteries of the story.

SSTR is a science fiction piece which takes place after Earth was abandoned by humanity. It takes place on mankind's new home world, Eden, and follows the character of Sven.

Sven once had everything: a loving wife, and a daughter about to be betrothed, but everything changed once the wars began. His wife was drafted into the military for her skill with advanced prosthetics (called metal grafts) and killed in an enemy raid. Shortly after, his daughter succumbed to illness. Sven searches for meaning in his life by reenlisting in the military, but soon his reckless decisions land him in an enemy POW camp, but little does he realize that his journey has yet to truly begin. Come along to uncover the mysteries of humanity's dark past and the secrets it's hidden in this new world in "Second Star to the Right."

I really should write movie commercials.
Anyway, stick around. The first chapter may soon be coming your way.

Well, that was a mistake

Ok, so the whole artist's apprentice thing didn't work out.

So, I'm stuck learning how to draw on my own.

However, I need some form of "completed" medium for creative out put, so I've begun a story. Its shaping up to be a longer work. Once I get it typed up, I'll post it to get some critque.

And a happy new year to you too.

The final summer

Fri Jun 8, 2007, 11:04 AM
This is it... This summer holds much potiential for me.

I mentioned to someone some time ago that I had given up on writting because I thought what I wanted to say had too much expressionism to adequately be written about. So, my friend said that maybe she could help. (She is an amazing artist). This summer I'm beginning the long journey to developing artistic skill.

I know that as of right now I have no artistic ability, but I figure that alility and skill are different. One we are born with (but still requires work) and the other is gained through even harder work. I reasoned that there was no difference between the two so long as your entire heart is put into it, and I accepted.

So, I hope that with the next portion of my life (I realize that this is a task far beyond a short term goal) I can be able to show my world to this one.

Wish me luck.

The progress is... no progress

The progress is... no progress...

I know, no one really reads my journals, but I like to give little updates on my non-progression and make my self almost motivated to go work on it.
